Kerstin Gaisbachgrabner has graduated from the University of Graz, Austria with a doctoral degree in psychology. From 2011 to 2017 she worked as a research assistant in the Department of Psychology (Work-, Organizational and Environmental Psychology; Health Psychology) at the University of Graz. Her work there was focusing on critical psychological states, stress, recovery and performance. Since 2017, she has been working at the Institute of Interactive Systems and Data Science within the RAGE project (Realising an Applied Gaming Eco-system). The focus of her research is evaluation of game-based learning. As a member of the ISO committee ON249 she is involved in the development of international standards.
