Deborah Huber, MSc, got her master’s degree in psychology at the University of Graz in 2024 and is currently a PhD student and researcher at the Cognitive Science Section. Besides that, she currently works on her master’s thesis in Computational Social Systems (Focus on Human Factors) at the TU Graz and University of Graz. Her psychology master degree focused on personality functioning and its connections to intelligence and well-being. In computational social systems, she examines the acceptance of neuroenhancement in regard to the perceived body image and further enhancement methods, like beauty surgery and supplements. She is engaged in two projects: “ToCoReRaM” (Tool for Complete Recovery of Raw Materials), funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protenction (BMUV) through the EURopean ENvironment Initiative (EURENI), and “EMERDEC” (Fundamentals of decision-making processes in primary emergency response), funded by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG). Her current research focuses on novel decision-making processes and support tools, both in complex firefighting emergency situations and in the implementation of circular economy practices in companies.
