Eva-Catherine Hillemann has graduated from the University of Graz, Austria with a degree in psychology. From 2008 to 2011 she worked as a research assistant in the Department of Psychology at the University of Graz. Her work at the Department of Psychology was related to the evaluation of technology-enhanced learning and game-based learning. During this time she also specialized in knowledge representation and competence assessment. Since 2011, she has been working at the Knowledge Management Institute within two projects, Next-Tell and CULTURA. The focus of her research is on the one hand on how ICT can be used to enhance students’ collaboration, self-guidance and learning in the classroom of the 21st century. On the other, she is highly interested in evaluation of learning and research systems. Additionally, she is currently writing her Ph.D. thesis in which she is investigating how Open Learner Models influence and affect learner’s meta-cognitive abilities in the learning process.

Projects: VALCRI, Next-Tell, CULTURA, GRAPPLE, 80Days, iClass
